FAQs

So, how is the city going to be chosen?

The city the show will be held in will be the biggest city near the area with the most entries. So get all your friends to sign up! Even though you live in a small town you still count towards getting the show to come to a city near you!

What kind of cameras are they?

They are just simple disposable cameras. Why? because its simple. Nothing you can change. Not digital images, just simple point and shoot, its about finding the right shot, not making it.

Can you elaborate on the theme of "adventure" some more?

Just have fun! Take the day off and go on a road trip! Use this as an oppurtunity to explore and be yourself. Get out of the real world and take a good old fashion adventure.

Did you say the word "prizes"?

The Grand Prize givin to the best overall photo will be a $200 dollar Airtran Gift Card to use towards coming to the shows final destination!

Will I be able to get my negatives back?

You will have the opportunity to get your negatives back. More information will be sent in the package with your camera.

What do you use my $16 for?

We use the entry money to cover the cost of the cameras, shipping, developing, and putting on the show.

Do you have to be in the United States to participate?

We're sorry, but currently your shipping address has to reside in the U.S. In the future we want to open the project up to other countries and we are currently working on the logistics.

Who puts this show on, anyway?

The project and show is put together by Art House Shop in Atlanta, Ga.

Nice to meet you.

Hello! We are art house, or more likly known as Steven and Shane. We are two cool college kids down here in the good old Hot-Lanta (no, we dont really call it that.) We started this whole crazy idea back in 2006 when we opened up Art House, a small but sweet gallery in Decatur, Ga, just outside of Atlanta. We were all about community and we still are. Except now the community is everyone in the world. We found over the years that there are some really cool artists out there doing some really cool stuff. We have also realized along the way that there are a lot of people out there not sure how to let that really creative person inside of them out. So with that in mind we started A Million Little Pictures.

This is Gomer, the Art House dog.

A Million Little What?

Pictures. No, there isnt really a million. There will be someday... when we take over the world. Hey, it COULD happen. Anyway, the first AMLP show was on May 25th, 2007. We had 150 sign ups and 67 returned cameras. It was fun, but we knew it could be MORE fun! (Dun Dun Dun!!!) So, we started AMLP 2, with the show for it on August 25th (it hasnt happened yet, I'll let you know how it goes.) The good news was we had 300 sign ups and 150 returned! Really fun! So, after all this fun we want to travel a little. See the world, ya know. Actually, we really just want to come to the city with the most "Littles"! (Littles= A really cool person involved in A Million Little Pictures) So, get all your friends and your local pizza guy to sign up, 'cause if we have the most sign ups from your city, were bringing the show to you!
